Research Advocacy
The Research Advocates are small team of Postgraduate Students who spearhead a key strategic research advocacy initiative within the school. The team works with the Core Disciplinary Research Group Coordinator to highlight the impact of research produced by the School and promotes wider public engagement with the rich research culture that exists in the School.
Key tasks include:
- Generating an overview of current research activity within the School which will involve the collation and dissemination of current staff research activity.
- Writing profiles of research projects and researchers in the School for web and print to be published on the School website and promoted on social media.
- Identifying opportunities and assist in the development of multimedia content such as photographic profiles, video profiles, short films and podcasts.
- Attending and promoting - through social media- research related events in the School such as ‘brown bag’ seminars, public lectures and conferences.
